Quick Overview

A striking, geometric Anstruther Print by Tom Pigeon.

This beautifully simple, abstract print measures 59.4cm x 42cm (A2) and celebrates the character and geography of Anstruther, a small fishing village on the East coast of Scotland. It is a hand-pulled three-colour print on 270gsm Bright White Paper and has metallic copper foil detailing. We love its pared-back confidence and style.

Tom Pigeon live and work in the East Neuk of Fife, a string of traditional fishing villages on the East coast of Scotland. This eponymous Anstruther Print is a homage to one of their local villages. It is an open edition signed A2 screen print, printed in Spearmint and Charcoal Grey with a Copper metallic foil on heavyweight 270gsm GFSmith Colorplan bright white, 'White Frost' paper.

The Anstruther Print has a stylish interplay of shine, texture and block colour. It is hand-pulled using water-based inks in a Glasgow print workshop tucked away under a railway arch, and traditionally foiled in the North West of England.

The Tom Pigeon Studio is based in Cellardyke, a tiny fishing village on the East coast of Scotland. The studio was an old fisherman’s net loft, where previously nets were mended and dried, fish was salted and lines were baited.

Tom and Kirsty moved up to Cellardyke eight years ago to get away from the city, and to live a quieter life.
